Teams thrive when they feel cared for. It’s easy in ministry to get caught up in checklists—song lists, schedules, service orders. But if people only feel like workers, not like family, we’ve missed the heart of leadership.
Love in leadership isn’t soft—it’s steady. It notices when someone is struggling. It checks in during a tough week. It celebrates wins, not just corrects mistakes. Real love shows up.
One of the best lessons I’ve learned in team leadership is this: people join for vision, but they stay for relationship. A strong setlist might inspire someone for a moment, but a caring leader keeps them engaged for the long haul.
This month, let’s look for ways to lead with love. Love that listens. Love that encourages. Love that lifts. When our teams feel loved, they don’t just serve better—they serve deeper, because they know they’re part of something more than music.
Think It. Live It.:
Who on my team might need encouragement this month?
How can I lead with love, not just logistics?
