MIDYEAR CHECK: WHAT’S SHAPING YOU?
mentorship, coaching, worship leader, church, guidance

Leadership is never neutral.
Something is always shaping us—pressure, praise, expectations, fatigue, or faith.

By midyear, habits have formed. Rhythms are set. And if we’re not intentional, we can drift from why we started to simply managing what’s in front of us.

David often asked God to search his heart—not because he feared failure, but because he desired alignment. That same posture keeps worship leaders healthy. Not defensive. Not driven. Just honest.

Ask yourself:

  • What has been shaping my reactions lately?
  • What has been fueling my decisions?
  • What has been forming my joy—or draining it?

Midyear recalibration isn’t about condemnation. It’s about clarity. When we invite God to realign us, we don’t lose momentum—we regain direction.

Before the second half accelerates, pause. Let God shape you again.

Think It. Live It.:

  • What habits or pressures have shaped me more than I realized?
  • Where do I need God to realign my heart before moving forward?

Let's talk
We would love to hear from you!
